How does a sandblasting pot work? (Workflow)

#Industry ·2024-06-30

Loading and Sealing: Load the selected abrasive (such as steel grit, glass beads, brown corundum, etc.) into the pot, then close and lock the loading port to ensure a tight seal.

Pressing: Connect the compressed air source. Compressed air enters the top of the pot, exerting downward pressure on the abrasive, and flows directly to the spray gun through a separate pipe.

Delivery and Mixing: The valve at the bottom of the pot opens, and the pressurized abrasive flows through the pipe (sandblasting hose) to the spray gun under the combined effects of gravity and pressure. At the spray gun handle, the abrasive mixes with high-pressure air from another source, achieving extremely high acceleration.

High-Voltage Jetting: The mixed abrasive stream is ejected from the nozzle at high speed, impacting the workpiece surface to complete processes such as cleaning, grinding, and roughening.

Continuous Operation: Because the entire pot is under pressure, abrasive can be continuously delivered until the pot is depleted, enabling large-scale, long-term continuous operation.
